Beer brand, Guinness, will bring former Chelsea manager and 2012 UEFA Champions League winning coach, Roberto Di Matteo, to Nigeria on Friday (today).The Italian footballer will be in Lagos for the inauguration of a new Guinness football campaign to excite football fans across the country.Marketing and Innovation Director, Guinness Nigeria Plc, Mr. Austin Ufomba, expressed his excitement over the visit and promised more of such experiences for Guinness consumers.
“We are excited to bring Roberto Di Matteo to Nigeria as he proved as a player and manager that like Guinness, he is ‘Made of More’ ” Ufomba said.
“Di Matteo was capped 34 times for his country and played for teams across Europe before becoming a manager at Wes Brom. But he became famous at Chelsea, where he led the team to their first UEFA Champions League win in 2012. We can’t wait to announce what we have in store for Di Matteo and Guinness over the forthcoming months.”
